FBI Behavioral Science Unit agents Ray Carr and Jim Fitzgerald bring you true crime like no one else can

because they lived it. Ray Carr is a retired FBI Special Agent and Behavioral Science Unit profiler who built the profile that caught the most successful bank robber in American FBI history. Jim Fitzgerald is a retired FBI Special Agent and forensic linguist who identified the Unabomber through his manifesto and worked the JonBenét Ramsey investigation and DC Sniper task force. This is not speculation. This is not re-told news. This is what actually happened — from the agents who were in the room. True Crime. Real Behavior. Real Insight

WEBSLEUTH COMMENTS:

I think that someone certainly did “benefit” but not in the sense of, say, a life insurance payout.

However, it’s probable IMO that more than one person avoided serious prison time if Lindsay in fact had information that could implicate said persons in something nefarious.

I like to keep in mind that career criminals typically assess all possible outcomes and risks carefully before acting. Then, they weigh those risks against the perceived benefits they are to receive if their crime is successful. This murder was particularly risky, especially given Lindsay’s victimology. So, IMO the person’s involved in setting up Lindsay’s murder had a lot to lose.

The podcast episode does a good job of explaining how the murder itself was likely meant to send a message, hence the brutality. They noted that it worked, considering nobody has seemed to come forward within the past twenty years.

Great podcast! I recommend anybody interested in this case take a listen. Gail, the Murder on Desousa website owner they interview, has been investigating this case on her own for years.

The theory regarding Kyle McDonald’s disappearance being related to Lindsay’s murder is worth considering IMO especially if a retired FBI special agent and FBI criminal profiler think it’s credible.

My response: Let’s not forget that Kyle MacDonald took possession of his new home in Mill Bay/Shawnigan Lake area in mid 2007. Prior to that he lived on Percy Place, a street just 2 blocks & a 5- minute walk from where Ziggy Matheson lived at 2768 Claude Road in Langford. The home owned by realtor Shirley Zailo.

May we always remember Lindsay Buziak, a young woman who should still be with us today.

A deep dark secret falls over our town – a heavy cloud weighs us down.

A life was taken in the night, of a young woman so full of light.

If you know anything about this crime, please step forward, it is the time.

A simple act to do your part could ease this family’s broken heart.

Take that risk, be so bold, for its time the truth be told.

Do not let fear step in your light, do what you can to make this right.

Justice for Lindsay is only a few truths away, only takes that one person who has something to say.

WE MUST NOT LET FEAR SILENCE OUR VOICE OR ALLOW INTIMIDATION TO STEAL OUR WORDS OR QUIET OUR CONVICTIONS.
