When you hear that 800 people had gathered at St. Andrews Cathedral to pay their respects there is no doubting that Lindsay was loved by everyone. Listening to what some of Lindsay’s friends had to say you quickly learn all about who Lindsay really was. Lindsay had a presence and a smile that could light up a room. She exuded a warmth and positive energy that drew people close. She was a trusted loyal friend who left a powerful legacy behind and she will never be forgotten. I did not know Lindsay personally but I really wish I had.

What could be more important than a Memorial Walk for Justice? To remember a friend, to make a statement that an injustice such as this one is unacceptable in our community. Lindsay’s life was cut short by a senseless act of violence.

In memory of our loved ones, many of us have taken part in Breast Cancer Walks, and all kinds of other walk to support love ones whom we have lost. But how many people can say they’ve taken part in a Walk for Justice. Until the perpetrators of this heinous crime are caught and brought to justice we must continue the relentless journey of making sure no one forgets. We must never give up!

The Saanich Police, THE RCMP and other police aGENCIES ARE DOING EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO MAKE SURE THAT LINDSAY AND LINDSAY’S FAMILY SEE THE JUSTICE THEY SO RIGHTFULLY DESERVE i BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART ANd soul that THE POLICE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT US.

LINDSAY WILL SEE JUSTICE!

2018 SAANICH POLICE STATEMENT

Saanich Police have worked tirelessly with the RCMP and Victoria Police in partnerships to achieve success. After 10-years of work, we regret that success has not been achieved to date in our investigation. As with other pre-planned and targeted murders, the perpetrators and/or conspirators have taken steps to avoid apprehension by police.  We believe multiple persons have personal and first-hand knowledge regarding the murder of Lindsay Buziak and have withheld this information from police. As with all criminal offences in British Columbia, the standard of Crown Counsel charge approval must be met. Saanich Police are continuing to work towards success in this investigation, and the case remains active and ongoing as we move towards a successful conclusion to this investigation

Sgt. Jereme Leslie
