July 15/2025 Lindsay Buziak Murder – Explosive New Information
Update July 17/2025
Chief Dean Duthie of the Saanich Police Department, has made the decision to shut down the Lindsay Buziak Murder Investigation. This announcement comes on the heels of the latest post recently made on this website about Lindsay Buziak going to the Saanich Police in 2007 to tell them about something she saw that she shouldn’t have seen.
Further information about Lindsay’s 2007 visit to the police will be posted on this site in the very near future.
THE SCANDAL OF ALL TIMES

Just recently, a new witness has come forward with explosive information that could blow the Lindsay Buziak murder investigation wide open.
This person claims that in the late fall of 2007 Lindsay went to the Saanich Police with information she believed was very important. At that time, she was told to keep this to herself and that is exactly what she did. This witness strongly believes that if Lindsay had not gone to the Saanich Police with what she knew she would still be alive today. Yes, there is always the chance that this person is not being truthful, but so far, from what we have learned there seems to be a lot of credibility to their story.
If there is any truth to what we are hearing, then this could be the most humiliating & embarrassing scandal the Saanich Police have ever had to face. And yes, they’ve had to deal with a few scandals over the last few years. This new revelation does not land on the backs of the hard-working investigators who have been working Lindsay’s case over the last few years. This lands smack on the back of the Chief of Police, Dean Duthie. Duthie is the top brass, the puppeteer who pull the strings and knows exactly what is going on in that department every minute of every day.
He was promoted to the position of Chief in 2022, after serving as Deputy Chief Constable for several years. He replaced Chief Scott Green, and Chief Bob Downie before him. Just how many officers at Saanich have known the truth about this explosive information and chose to stay silent? How many of his predecessors before him knew that Lindsay Buziak had gone to the Saanich Police in 2007? How many of them are part of this scandal?
What we need to know now, is who the investigator was
who took the information from Lindsay when she approached the Saanich Police in late 2007. Who told her to keep what she knew to herself? The pieces of the puzzle are all beginning to fall together, it’s starting to make sense now. Why the Saanich Police did everything in their power to divert the investigation, why they fed a raging inferno of false information to the public throughout the years, and why this case has never been solved. Can you just imagine if this information that has fallen into our laps is true? Well now we know, and we want answers.
We’ve always believed that the conspirators who planned Lindsay’s murder had connections/friends inside the police department. If that is the case, then it’s very possible that the cop who interviewed Lindsay leaked that information out to the conspirators. This wouldn’t be the first time a police department has leaked out information when they shouldn’t have. And with this department’s shady reputation this is very possible. Is Lindsay dead because one bad cop dared to turn Lindsay over to the conspirators?
Let’s go back to 2010. The Saanich Police announced that there was no DNA found at the crime scene, other than Lindsay Buziak’s. In November of that year, investigators appeared on the Dateline NBC Dreamhouse Mystery show, begging for help in their investigation. The Dateline experts all said they believed the people who planned Lindsay’s murder was someone she knew, someone very close to her, perhaps in the same office. They all agree Lindsay’s murder had nothing to do with drugs.

What did the Saanich Police do with this information?
They made a public statement one week after the show clearing the entire Zailo family of having any involvement in Lindsay’s murder. In other words, they did not listen to the advice given to them by the three Dateline experts, they took their investigation in an entirely different direction. They tried to connect Lindsay’s murder to the Calgary Drug Bust which had taken place in late January 2008. They tried to smear her name by saying she made contact with Erickson Delalcazar when visiting her father in December 2007. Later, they retracted that statement and claimed she had tried to contact a relative of Erickson Delalcazar. In the end, none of that was true, yet Lindsay’s name had already been tarnished by the implication.
In 2021, the Saanich Police made a public announcement saying there had been a breakthrough in new DNA technology.
They promised they were taking another look at the crime scene, re-interviewing new people and had brought on a new team of investigators. But wait a minute, didn’t they say in 2010 that there was no DNA found at the crime scene other than the victims. Yes, that’s exactly what they said. It’s clear today that everything the Saanich Police have been doing over the years was a strategic operation to stall the Lindsay Buziak murder investigation. They tried to implicate the Mexican cartel in Lindsay’s murder, a most desperate attempt to deflect from the real killers/conspirators who are living in Victoria right under the nose of the Saanich Police. The cops know who they are, we know who they are.
SO NOW WHAT HAPPENS?
How do the Saanich Police intend to deal with this new revelation which they are now very aware of? Are they going to hide this bombshell of information under the carpet like they have done with all the other scandals they have hidden over the years?
The Chief of Police will never come clean about this new information. If he did, he would have to admit that the police department has known about it from the very beginning and covered it up in order to protect the integrity of his department. As it is looking now, this Saanich Police Department has no credibility at all. I am guessing that in order to cover up this mess and to ensure the information never hits the press the Saanich Police will close the Lindsay Buziak murder investigation down, citing a lack of recourses, manpower, and whatever excuses Dean Duthie can manufacture to cover up this very damning evidence.
Hold on to your seat’s folks, and let’s see what the Saanich Police do with this information.
