Lindsay Buziak was murdered on February 2nd, 2008, while showing a newly built home at 1702 desousa place in saanich – and to this day her murder remains unsolved.

While we can’t bring Lindsay back, we can certainly do everything in our power to ensure that she is never forgotten. She was a beautiful young woman who had her entire life ahead, and that was taken away by persons who decided she knew too much and had to go. In Lindsay’s honor, let’s do this walk, let’s let the conspirators who planned her murder, and who live right under our noses, know that we are never going away.

Everyone is welcome, and that includes Jason Zailo, his brother, his mother and her lawyer. And let’s not forget to include the Mayor of Saanich, Dean Murdock, and the 5 Saanich police chiefs that have been involved in Lindsay’s murder over the last 18 years. Jason has kept a very low profile over the years, living a life of luxury with his new family up on Bear Mountain, but surely, he can find time to attend this walk in honor of Lindsay who was murdered on his watch.

That fateful evening, encouraged by people very close to her, Lindsay went to show a vacant home, in the dark of night, meeting people she did not know. It was a very high-risk thing for her to do, but she felt very safe knowing her boyfriend would be there to protect her. If certain safety checks had been implemented Lindsay’s murder could have been prevented.

To all the young women out there who think they are invincible, you are not. What happened to Lindsay could happen to any one of you. Be careful about who you associate with, trust your instincts, and if something doesn’t feel right – get out while you can. Lindsay was planning on getting out, unfortunately she waited just a little too long.

Let’s make it clear to the Saanich Police,

It’s never too late to get it right, and finding justice for Lindsay and her family is the right thing to do.

The conspirators who planned Lindsay’s murder and lured her to the DeSousa property that night still walk freely amongst us

and they are enjoying their lives as if though nothing had ever happened. We know who they are, and the police know who they are. The Saanich Police tell us they don’t have the evidence to arrest, then if that’s the case, isn’t it time they got out there again, and this time leave no stone unturned. With a concerted effort perhaps, they can once and for all find the evidence needed to make arrests. There is enough circumstantial evidence that has been accumulated over the years that there is no reason that arrests should not have been made based on this evidence alone.

Will 2026 be the year that Lindsay Buziak’s killer/s are arrested, charged and convicted?

Well, only the Saanich Police can make this happen. Let’s also hope that the DNA results that the police are waiting on, will lead to the arrest of the actual killer. Arrest Lindsay’s killer and the conspirator’s arrest won’t be far behind.

JUSTICE FOR LINDSAY BUZIAK

Lindsay Buziak died Feb 2/2008.

She was a beautiful young woman with a promising life ahead,

she should still be here but was taken instead.

She lit up a room with that contagious smile so wide,

her radiant beauty she could not hide.

She touched our hearts in so many ways,

precious memories that help us get through the days.

Look up to the heavens and see above,

our Angel of God is shining such love.

Lindsay knows that we are here,

fighting for justice, that has to be clear.

May those who took this precious life be found,

for you cannot hide you are still around.

Do the right thing and turn yourselves in,

for killing another is an almighty sin.

You will always live with the deserved shame,

but you have the power to ease this family’s pain.

Lindsay’s family needs the truth to be told,

only you have the power to let that unfold.

Do you have the strength to do the right thing,

knowing the closure that the truth could bring?

Pick up the phone, make that call,

just do it please, once and for all.
